AgentPins: Revolutionizing the Real Estate Referrals Market

AgentPins: Revolutionizing the Real Estate Referrals Market

Some industries have a dead spot; an aspect of operations that drags behind the considerable progress of the overall profession. Doctors have protocol for operating on brain tissue, for instance, but they still can't cure the common cold. Suicide prevention call centers still utilize software from the 1980s as an industry standard. Sometimes, the role of the entrepreneur is to identify these areas and provide a marketable solution. For Rhonda Crum, there was a problem within the real estate industry. So she went out to find a solution. Rhonda is the mind behind AgentPins, a social platform for the better handling of long-distance real estate referrals, and she's out to change the game.

The idea for the platform came from Rhonda's own personal experiences. Even with her own background as a real estate agent in Ohio, she found the process of referring her Florida-bound family members to a trusted, out of state source to be a surprisingly difficult one. AgentPins will revolutionize the market with a dynamic, cost-effective, and intuitive approach.

"The premise is a mapping system that allows agents to go to one central source and hone in on the area of the map that they would like to refer their pre-approved, Buyer, Seller, or Leasee/Lessor to. When they hover over a pin on the map, it will have links to the agent's profile and will also include a video with information about that agent and what they specialize in."

Readers may recall AgentPins from this post or this earlier one on React with Redux, a couple of tools we're using to help on the front end build of the platform. AgentPins isn't the first social platform to attempt to streamline the flow of referrals within the industry, but Rhonda believes her competitors have missed the mark.

"The other platforms out there charge a ridiculous fee to agents. On top of the subscription fee, many also pocket $ by adding 5-10% to the industry standard 25% referral fee."

With AgentPins, real estate agents can expect a sense of locale-exclusivity on a platform built with their world in mind. Individual pins cost a mere $99 per year, and the platform is expected to eventually expand to real estate industry providers and the public.

"I expect AgentPins to change the game for real estate professionals by being the 'Go-To,' trusted source for Agents."
